Our story
Stratos Advisory was founded by Krishan Ravindradevan and Jay Anand to bring two kinds of expertise together: knowing how rail really runs, and knowing how to build the systems that run it.
Krishan, Founder and Managing Director, leads our business architecture and process redesign work. Over more than a decade at Sydney Trains and Transport for NSW, he was Sydney Trains’ Operational Readiness Lead for the $21B Sydney Metro City & Southwest, possession-managed hundreds of weekend and midweek track closures, and directed a team of 62 re-engineering the business processes behind NSW driver licensing and registration. Whether opening a metro line or redesigning a 30-year-old regulatory system, the method was the same: map how the operation really runs, redesign it with the people who do the work, and prove it is safe and ready before it goes live. That experience showed him where rail and transport businesses lose time: tenders, RFQs, reporting and compliance, done by hand by people whose expertise is needed elsewhere.

Jay Anand, Co-Founder and Principal Consultant, leads the build side of our work. A software architect who specialises in system design and geospatial engineering, Jay moved from computer networks into telecommunications, building GIS platforms for a national carrier alongside government and private-sector stakeholders. In rail, he uses AI to rebuild legacy systems into modern, maintainable architecture and to move paper-based, manual admin onto agents, with people reviewing the outputs. The time and cost saved let the business spend its attention on operational decisions, not overhead. His approach is ours too: find the underlying problem first, then build something that holds up long term.
